Bloomberg's Lindsey Arent reports on the outlook for Toyota Motor Corp. after U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood stepped up pressure on the automaker to fix defects that have caused the recall of millions of vehicles because they may suddenly accelerate, causing drivers to lose control. Electronic throttle systems are under review by U.S. safety officials as a possible cause of sudden acceleration in Toyota vehicles, as alleged in at least seven lawsuits.
